Invalid user

Post  Wayne on Tue Sep 30, 2008 6:21 am

I seem to be logging in OK, but when I do, I get the message "Invalid user: The selected user has no calendar." When I click ok, sometimes the app disappears, sometimes it lets me try to enter the names of other users, but no other users are found. I definitely have a calendar, and I can access my colleagues' calendars through Outlook, so I don't know what the problem is.

For some additional information, this is a hosted exchange service, and our domain is a single OU in a forest of OUs. Does this make a difference?

Hi Wayne
We had recently a user with a similar problem with another customer. It turned out the cause was a migration problem of Exchange. You may try to add a new account and try with this newly created account to connect via iExchange. I know this sounds strange but it is the first solution you should try.

hi folks,

I am sorry, I have to confirm this problem with my Exchange account too. Unfortunately I am not able to create a new user account on this server, because it is owned by my admin ;-)

Same messages and same behaviour as previously mentioned.
Additionaly I tried to enable anonymous reading access to my Exchange 2007 calendar account. but the message is still the same.

The connection string https://mail.companydomain works great leaving out the standard "/exchange" for OWA.

btw.: even though the message denies it, I am definitely sure, that my account exists ;-)

(our company changed from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007 recently)

kind regards
Dirk

edit: just for your reference I am using version 1.01
edit: some more information... I tried to choose another user ... but unfortunately all searches gave me "no users found". I tried searching for surname, lastname, loginname, login-domainname, full name ... all with the same result.

I'm having the same problem. And I AM the sysadmin at my company. OWA is working fine (so is Oultook over HTTPS) and everyone's Calendars are set to allow colleagues to view them. The problem really does seem to be with iExchange...

No answer from the makers of iExchange here? Come on Garaio, this app is one of the most expensive ones in the app store and many of us are having the same problem with it -- and all we get from you is stone silence... If you don't have a fix yet, fine, but at least tell us what is going on. Thanks

no test account, is there a fix yet

Post  ihurt on Sat Feb 28, 2009 12:45 am

I've searched posts and have tried the suggestions. Nothing has worked. I'm disappointed because of the price and promise of this application and the lack of true support. I'm hoping iExchange is reading the posts and will send a solution via an update in the near future. If anyone has found a work around, please let me know.
